The two main features below will help determine the specs required of the pump:

Max head - This is the Vertical distance a pump can move water. Suction height + The distance you need to move the water determines your minimum 'Head' Required.       

Flow rate - Litres per minute (L/min). The higher the flow rate the more water you can move in a time frame.
